1. Why information is processed
RouteAlarm processes information for address and route searches, choosing your current location, scheduling wake-up and departure alerts, and serving ads. The app currently has no registration, login, app-operated cloud sync or operator-managed user database.
2. Information processed
Depending on the features you use, the app processes search terms, selected locations, addresses, coordinates, place IDs, departure or arrival times, travel modes, and language/region settings. Alarm times, repeat days, sounds, preparation times, saved place names and optional search/calculation history are stored on the device.
The ad SDK may process IP addresses, app/ad interactions, diagnostics, and identifiers such as advertising or app set IDs for ads, analytics and fraud prevention. Map SDK and API providers may process IP addresses and device/service usage information under their own policies.
3. Storage, retention and deletion
App data is stored on the device and is not synced to an operator server. Google places are saved using a place ID and a name you choose. Depending on device backup/restore settings, the OS or backup service may copy or restore app data.
Delete history, saved places or alarms in the app, or remove app data through the OS. Manage backup copies through the relevant device or backup service. Information received by map and ad providers is retained and deleted under their own policies.
4. External services
In Korea, address/map/driving features use Kakao Local and Kakao Mobility; transit uses Google Maps Platform. Outside Korea, addresses, maps and all supported travel modes use Google Maps Platform only. Search terms and necessary locations/place IDs, times and travel modes are sent to the relevant provider.
Opening an external map sends route names, locations and travel modes to the selected Google Maps, Kakao or NAVER Maps service. Ads use Google Mobile Ads. See the provider privacy policies linked below.
5. Your choices
You can refuse or revoke current-location access and search for an address manually. Turn off automatic history saving in Settings and delete existing history separately. Where ad privacy choices are offered, change them in the app settings. OS settings also let you manage location/notification permissions and ad-related choices. Contact the email below about information you have sent to support or privacy requests.
6. Safeguards
External API requests use HTTPS and app data is kept in the OS app sandbox. You control the device lock and backup settings. Sandbox storage does not mean every saved value is separately encrypted.
