Terms of service

1. Purpose and users
These terms describe the use of RouteAlarm's location-based route calculation and alarm service. A user is a person using the service. The current version does not use member accounts.
2. Service and charges
The service calculates wake-up and departure times from estimated travel and preparation times, then schedules alarms on your device. It does not currently recheck traffic and automatically change saved alarms.
The app is currently free and includes ads. Introductory features may become paid after advance notice. There is currently no paid checkout or automatically billed subscription. Carrier data charges are separate.
3. Location and external services
Current location is used when you request that feature; access can be refused or revoked in the OS. Information required for addresses and routes is sent to Kakao or Google depending on region and travel mode. Overseas features use Google only. Opening an external map passes route information to that map service.
Google Maps features are subject to the Google Terms of Service and Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service. Please also review Google's Privacy Policy using the official links below.
4. User choices and responsibilities
You may search for an address without granting location access and manage saved places, history and alarms in the app. Check device power, permissions, volume and saved schedules. Do not disrupt the service or infringe other people's rights.
5. Limitations and liability
Routes and estimates depend on provider data and coverage and may differ from actual traffic, weather or service conditions. Overseas driving estimates do not include live congestion.
Power, permissions, volume, battery restrictions, OS or external service failures can affect alarms and notifications. Use another check for important events. Liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law, excluding intentional misconduct, gross negligence and liability that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Changes
Important changes to the service or these terms will be announced through app notices or update information. See the separate Privacy Policy for information handling.
